Sinupret for Kids sponsored the EB Medical Research Foundation Charity Event and Picnic at the Malibu Lumber Yard in Malibu, California. The event, co-hosted by actors Courteney Cox Arquette and James Marsden and attended by many of their friends, helped contribute to the quest for progress towards a cure for EB. EB (Epidermolysis Bullosa) is a group of diseases characterized by blister formation after minor trauma to the skin. This family of disorders, most of which are inherited, range in severity from mild to the severely disabling and life-threatening diseases of the skin. Estimates indicate that as many as 100,000 Americans suffer from some form of EB.

The EB Medical Research Foundation was established in 1991 by Gary & Lynn Fechser Anderson at the request of Dr Eugene Bauer, former Professor and Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at The Stanford University School of Medicine. The EBMRF is a volunteer, non profit foundation dedicated to helping scientists learn more about EB, its causes, the development of successful treatments, and, ultimately, its cure.
